Uncovering the Impact of the Shocking Weather at Port Navas

The summer has officially ended and Annabelle's (who lives next door) tree is shedding leaves onto the cottage parking area once more. (Grrrrr...no, no I'm fine with it, honestly).

In the past I've made the mistake of pressure washing the parking space too early and all the bloomin leaves have continued to fall and create absolute havoc*. I shall bide my time this year until all the leaves have all gently come to rest...in our bit..

However, it's not all been fun. Look at the weather. Shocking. The impact being the leaves fall straight down onto the parking space, rather than blowing away. (Can you see I've tied this in with the title here..clever eh?)

I was 'busy', on the dinghy, taking up the mooring ropes at the end of the season. My boat now peacefully resting back up at Gweek boatyard for the winter. Lots of jobs to be done. The mast needs a varnish and the cover needs some tlc, just for starters. But that can wait. I don't want to get sunburnt!

Other than that, Port Navas life has continued on at its regular frantic 24/7 ' This city never sleeps' pace. (Well, up by 10am and in bed at 9.30pm with a warm milky drink sort of way)

More exciting updates to come I expect... Christmas is just around the corner and we know the mayhem that ensues in the village then!***

Until then stay safe

Kurt

* No havoc was actually created
